Independent Living Schemes

Independent Living is the perfect choice for people aged over 55 who want to live independently but within a supportive, community environment.

We operate our Care24 and Support24 services within the Independent Living Schemes and Extra Care Schemes owned by The Community Housing Group.

The Schemes are made up of self-contained flats and apartments, each with their own kitchen, shower or bathroom and comfortable living areas and bedrooms. There are shared lounges and communal rooms, and some even have therapy rooms, restaurants and cinemas. Each flat is equipped with a telecare alarm system, which is linked to amica24, a 24 hour monitoring & response centre, so if you feel unwell or have a fall, you can get help immediately.

Family and friends are welcome to visit you at your Scheme, both in the communal areas or within your flat. At some Schemes. We even offer guest accommodation that can be booked by residents for visitors who wish to stay overnight.

Support24 provide activities and offer facilities in the Schemes, including:

  • Exercise classes
  • Arts and crafts
  • Cinema
  • Hair salon
  • Beauty & therapy treatments
  • Events and trips
  • Meals
  • Bingo
  • Plus lots more

Care24 is available to any of the residents at the Schemes but at The Community Housing Group's two Extra Care Schemes, care is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week if needed.
